CEO

David Larsson joined Qmatic as CEO in 2025. He brings extensive experience from senior executive leadership positions, where he has successfully driven innovation and growth.

Before joining Qmatic, he served as CEO of Sileon, a global fintech company that offers an innovative SaaS-based Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) functionality to banks and fintech companies.

Prior to his tenure at Sileon, David held various executive leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Mekonomen Group. Before that, he spent over 15 years at Microsoft in several senior leadership roles across Scandinavia, the United States, and Latin America.

He has a master's degree in economics from Uppsala University and an MBA from the Helsinki School of Economics. 

COO

Lars Mellgren joined Qmatic in September 2024 as Chief Operating Officer, leading the day-to-day operations and overseeing the onboarding and client support teams. 

Lars brings a wealth of experience with over 20 years of serving in various senior roles in international technology companies. 

Before joining Qmatic, Mellgren served as Director of Client Success and VP of Professional Services at Extenda Retail, an industry leader in retail software development. Earlier in his career, Lars was Vice President of EMEA Client Services at SS&C Advent, a leading provider of portfolio management and accounting solutions and services.

He holds a Master of Science degree in Aeronautics from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm.

VP of People & Culture

Susan Begando brings over two decades of diverse Human Resources experience to Qmatic. As Vice President of People and Culture, she spearheads the organization’s People and Culture initiatives, orchestrating strategies that align with business objectives. She is committed to championing a workplace culture that celebrates diversity, fosters collaboration, and empowers individuals to realize their fullest potential.

Susan’s career spans Technology and Engineering, Fintech, and Management Consulting in both large corporations and startups. This experience has equipped her with a holistic perspective on the HR landscape, enabling her to navigate challenges with agility and foresight.

Susan joined Qmatic in 2019 as an HR Business Partner and was appointed Vice President of People and Culture in 2024.

Susan holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Birmingham and a Human Resources Management certification from the University of Georgia.

VP America Sales

Paul Páez joined Qmatic in 2015 and currently serves as the Vice President of Sales for North America.

He brings over 25 years of senior executive experience driving revenue growth across the technology, healthcare, and government sectors. He initially led Qmatic's healthcare practice before his role expanded to encompass leadership of both direct and indirect sales channels for the North American region.

Prior to joining Qmatic, Paul spent a decade in various executive leadership roles, serving as CEO and President for several emerging technology companies, and holding senior marketing positions at firms including Source Services, Stone Investments, and Robert Half International.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications from Boston College.

Acting CPO

Dasha Leijon joined Qmatic in 2022 and currently serves as Acting Chief Product Officer (CPO). As CPO, she is responsible for defining and executing the company's product vision and strategy, and leading the product team to drive innovation and customer value.

Prior to becoming Acting CPO, Dasha held positions as Product Owner and Product Manager, where she was responsible for Qmatic’s SaaS and BI solutions. 

Before joining Qmatic, Dasha spent over a decade in various roles at global software companies, including DocuSign, UBS, and Sitecore. She brings a wealth of experience in software development and product management. 

She holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Software Engineering from Dnipro National University.
