As September comes to a close, we're pleased to share the latest updates that aim to enhance your experience and functionality across our applications and platforms. Here’s an overview of what’s new.

Notify Customers with SMS

With the new SMS notifications feature, staff can quickly send bulk text messages to customers waiting in the queue, providing them with important updates such as service disruptions or other relevant information about their visit, directly from Qmatic Experience Cloud.

These SMS notifications ensure that customers stay informed in real-time, improving their overall experience. Staff can access it under ‘Notify Customer’ in the Qmatic Experience Cloud menu for clients using Qmatic Messaging Services.

 

Customer Data Collection Preferences

You can now configure system-wide settings in 'Personal Data Management' for the customer data you collect, such as First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, Phone Number, and Email Address for both the Check-in and Serve applications in Qmatic Experience Cloud. This update helps ensure compliance with local regulations and also supports your business needs.

Custom Third-Party Links

With the Serve and Counter (5.9.0) apps, you can now set up custom third-party URLs. This makes it easier for staff to open CRMs, survey tools, or other external systems directly while serving customers — saving time and creating a smoother service experience.

Marks Now Available in Check in and Concierge App

The Check-in and Concierge (5.11.0) app now allows you to add Marks to visits. Marks help you categorize visits, for example, by type of visit or service category,  making it easier to analyze customer journeys, spot trends, and generate reports on multi-service visits.


Visit API Improvement

The Visit API now includes the Appointment Identifier, which directly links each visit to its original appointment. This makes it easier for you to trace the source of each visit and simplifies your reporting process.

Appointment Notifications for Staff

Staff can now receive appointment notifications via SMS and email when a new appointment is booked. This helps your team stay updated on upcoming schedules and makes it easy to manually add events to calendars — promoting better organization and planning.

SLA Alerts Across Branches and Queues

SLA alerts now support multiple branches and queues, giving organizations greater control over service monitoring. The new interface makes it simple to configure alerts across all branches and services.
