New Calendar Integration: Two-Way Sync for Outlook Calendar

We are excited to announce our new, highly requested calendar integration for Outlook, which enables two-way sync (or bidirectional syncing) between Qmatic Experience Cloud and your Outlook Calendar.

Previously, Qmatic Experience Cloud users could only sync and see all upcoming appointments in their Outlook Calendar. However, this was a one-way process. With two-way sync, users can now receive automatic updates between both platforms—any changes made in Outlook Calendar or Qmatic Experience Cloud are immediately reflected in the other. 

The two-way sync keeps your calendars up to date, so you can rest assured that your calendar accurately reflects your availability, whether you're scheduling appointments or updating your schedule.

Qmatic Experience Cloud - Two-Way Outlook Calendar Sync

With the two-way sync, all Outlook Calendar events marked as "Busy" or "Out of office" will be synced to Qmatic Experience Cloud. The timeslots will be blocked to prevent scheduling conflicts. This ensures that your Online Booking page is always up to date, and customers can only book appointments with specific staff members based on their availability.

How to set up the Two-Way Outlook Calendar Sync

To activate the one-way or two-way sync within your account settings and begin syncing your Outlook Calendar and Qmatic appointments, you'll first need to integrate your Qmatic Experience Cloud account with your Office 365 Outlook account using Azure. Once integrated, you can start syncing your calendars in the configuration panel in the Qmatic Experience Cloud portal. 

Once the two-way sync is activated, staff should only manage appointments in Qmatic Experience Cloud. Any editing, rescheduling, or deleting of synced appointments in the Outlook calendar will not update them in Qmatic Experience Cloud, and customers will not be notified of any changes made.
