Meet Eleanora and get an insight into what a regular day in her role can look like as well as what is important in a workplace for her.
What does a typical day for you look like?
Ha! No two days are the same at Qmatic, which is one of the best things about working here. We are constantly kept on our toes. That said, I work with a close-knit finance team, under the leadership of our quality-focused CFO. I usually align with my colleagues in the US and South Europe daily to keep them informed on what I am doing in relation to delivering our finance program.

The business is mid-transformation, and this involves collaborating with colleagues across functions in business growth, project management, supply chain, and crucially, our sales team. Day-to-day, I provide reports and information to support colleagues’ decision-making, keep the focus on our KPIs, problem solve & optimize some of our processes so that we can be more efficient. I keep my boss appraised of goings on and I prepare key reports for senior stakeholders.

• Think beyond our historical ways of working with the toolkit and ingenuity that our current leadership team provide and foster, to build a stronger, more resilient Qmatic. Think about the relevance of reports, and the insights we need now and for the future, and take appropriate actions within the remit of my role.
• Lead and Own – and that also includes signposting and checking in with colleagues to underline that we are one team.
• Best together – we are beyond finance. Our culture is one of collaboration!

What is something that is important for you in the workplace?
The collegiate team atmosphere and clear purpose. We have both here.

How did you first come across Qmatic?
The internet, and then IKEA Bäckebol helped me make sense of one of our products! Qmatic and client journey, a cosmic match!

What do you like most about working for Qmatic?
The challenge. Working at Qmatic is like solving a giant puzzle with your closest friends (the finance team), while your biggest cheerleaders are on the sideline pushing you along (the wider team)! Everyone wants to succeed, and everyone has turned up with their A-game and game face on!

Is there any specific event while working for Qmatic that you remember and want to share?
One call, numerous colleagues across 5 departments, 4 time zones, bouncing ideas to solve one problem. Robust but amenable dialogue, problem solved at breakneck speed. Literally the stuff of dreams! We really are best together.

Name/describe something that makes you happy?
Ella Fitzgerald and Mercedes Sosa! Music for the soul.

What is something you are proud of?
I have yet to achieve it. That’s my motto – never rest on your laurels. I do take quiet satisfaction in a job well done, every time.

Fun fact about you?
My life is dictated by excel spreadsheets. It has crossed my mind to do away with calendars and just build my excel calendar grid with everything in life organized in one file. Alas, people still send me Outlook invites 😊
