Qmatic today announced the appointment of Lars Mellgren as Chief Executive Officer, and David Larsson as Vice CEO, both effective immediately. Lars succeeds Magnus Lindholm, who has decided to step down as CEO and join Qmatic Board of Directors.
Lars, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Qmatic, successfully developed the COO function during his tenure. With over 20 years of experience in senior roles at international technology companies, he brings valuable knowledge and expertise to the company. Before joining Qmatic, Lars was Director of Client Success at Extenda Retail, a leading company in retail software development.
To further strengthen Qmatic, the company has introduced a new role of Vice CEO, which David Larsson will assume.
David brings a wealth of experience from senior executive leadership positions, where he has successfully driven innovation and growth. Most recently, he served as CEO of Sileon, a global fintech company that offers an innovative SaaS-based Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) functionality to banks and fintech companies. Prior to his tenure at Sileon, David held various executive leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Mekonomen Group. Before that, he spent over 15 years at Microsoft in several senior leadership roles across Scandinavia, the United States, and Latin America.
