We are excited to introduce a new Navigation Keypad from Storm Interface as part of our certified hardware lineup. The Navigation Keypad is designed to assist kiosk users with visual impairments, reading difficulties, or fine motor skills in navigating our certified Check-In Kiosks using tactile buttons and audio directions, ensuring a more accessible and inclusive check-in and queueing experience.
Kiosk users can listen to audio directions while navigating kiosk menus and select their preferred speech rate. Featuring highly tactile, illuminated buttons, the navigation keypad offers a comfortable and intuitive way to interact with different on-screen options to get in line for services or check in for an appointment without using the touchscreen.
When a button is pressed, information is delivered audibly through a headset or speaker. Users can adjust the volume and speech speed to best match their needs. If a prompt is missed, it can be easily repeated, ensuring clarity and helping users feel more confident during the check-in process.
For additional support, a Digital Assistance Button is also available on the kiosk interface, allowing users to quickly request staff help when needed.
The Navigation Keypad is compatible with all of our certified Check-In Kiosks and can be conveniently mounted on the side of the kiosk touchscreen, ensuring it's within easy reach for standing users and users in a wheelchair.
By adding the Navigation Keypad to our certified hardware lineup, we continue to advance our commitment to a more accessible and inclusive service environment. This initiative also supports compliance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by ensuring equitable access to self-service technology.
